In an effort to help Sen. Larry Craig, the American Civil Liberties Union is arguing that people who have sex in public bathrooms have an expectation of privacy. Craig, of Idaho, is asking the Minnesota Court of Appeals to let him withdraw his guilty plea to disorderly conduct stemming from a bathroom sex sting at the Minneapolis airport. The ACLU filed a brief Tuesday supporting Craig. It cited a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling 38 years ago that found that people who have sex in closed stalls in public restrooms "have a reasonable expectation of privacy." That means the state cannot prove Craig was inviting an undercover officer to have sex in public, the ACLU wrote.
The ACLU argues that the ruling means that even if Craig invited an undercover officer to have sex in a stall -- which Craig vehemently denies -- his actions wouldn't be illegal. Source

A recent “Law & Order” show portraying a leader in a college Christian ministry as anti-homosexual and Christians as "Bible thumpers" is drawing ire from a watchdog group for anti-Christian bigotry.
In the opening of the NBC shows episode last week, a leader in a college Christian ministry, who opposed homosexuality, was portrayed as being guilty of making death threats against a professor studying the "gay gene." The lead detective also refers to Christians as "Bible thumpers." Source

As QUOTED by The Bishop of Bukedi Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Nicodemus Okille who was hating on the GAYS in his Christmas sermon at St. Peter’s Church of Uganda Tororo on Tuesday. The Bishop also said the acts violate both the biblical teachings on marriage and African culture. The bishop cautioned married couples against indulging in adultery, saying it is the main cause of divorce.
This is rather typical of Christendumb* throughout history, Christians have demonstrated how totally devoid of any love, and or Christ teachings they are and it's rather tell-tale that the bishop would use his Christmas mass to address the politics of church supported hatred. But I still want to know why we even have to have this GAY discussion in the first place. After all isn't Christmas truly the time to focus ALL our attention on the story of a pregnant (out of wedlock) teenage girl visited by an angel, who claims she was told she was carrying God's child, her arduous trip to Bethlehem on the back of a donkey in order to pay taxes and take part in a census, her delivery of that God spawned baby born in the inn's stable, surrounded by animals and visited that very night by a star over head, a flood of angels, shepherds, wise men baring gifts and just for drama the horror of a wicked ruler who demanded infanticide of all Jewish boy babies but somehow missed the one boy who would become messiah, or Jesus the Christ? Oh, come all ye faithful... Folks, doesn't "the church" and this bishop have much more interesting yet imaginaryplausible material on which to brow beat it's followers into fear and submission besides the implication of GAYS being hated by God. Is the Bishop trying to RUIN Christmas traditions for EVERYONE? Not on Christmas!
Once again, as the evidence suggests, kooky religious leaders will exploit any high holiday, feast, tradition or pure myth to express personal disdain of certain people. But then again, one can't invoke the panic and fear in others in order to get their money and support, unless you insist God hates certain kinds of people, certain kinds of behaviours and certain kinds of intellect.

Well I think it's high time we ask these Youtube "ministers" of the Most High God- the one who is believed to hate homosexuals and even wants them dead, to honestly acknowledge that those are their own feelings they are expressing. Oh, all that, and I occasionally get neurotic when I lose hope that enlightenment will be embraced by ALL.
Has the intellectually and logic handicapped MADman in the video, using HIS interpretation of the Bible to support HIS opposition of homosexuals and other "perverts," forgotten about other forms of discrimination like racism? Would he like it if I told him his skin color was a perversion, a handicap, something fixable and something which might keep him from God's miraculous plan of SALVATION? Last night I saw Diana Ross at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland.
Miss Ross was the boss! Plus she couldn't have picked a more suitable venue to showcase her fierceness. Oakland's Paramount Theatre is one of the finest remaining examples of Art Deco design in the United States. Designed by renowned San Francisco architect Timothy L. Pflueger and completed in late 1931, it was one of the first Depression-era buildings to incorporate and integrate the work of numerous creative artists into its architecture and is particularly noteworthy for its successful orchestration of the various artistic disciplines into an original and harmonious whole. Seriously it was all that and more. Her concert was an hour and a half of PURE exuberance. It was obvious to me, and everybody in the packed theater, that she loves what she does, that her fans love what she does and that somehow time has magically kept her from ever having a shelf life. Timeless. She's flawless and fierce and every bit the DIVA she has always been. Now really, it was miraculous to me that a 63 years young entertainer could belt out songs that MADE her a legend without a bad note, memory lapse, staleness or artificiality. She effortlessly danced about with energy, looked fabulous, was dressed to the 9's and was amazingly entertaining. Just before she ended the show she sang the only original song in her show that her back up singer of 6 years, Fred White, wrote for her, and she told US the truth- her performance is ALL about singing to those she loves, seeing her friends happy and dancing, and getting to wear gorgeous gowns. That's what makes her happy. Mr. White's song I Love You(That's All That Really Matters) was what I perceived to be the thread woven throughout this spectacular evening with the BOSS- Ms. Ross knows what people expect from her and she delivered with so much LOVE. She respects the act of performance, appreciates those who come to see her, still has a wide age appeal and she proved to me just how much she really loves what she's done best for all these years.

In an interview with the local Columbian newspaper, Curtis says now that he's lawyered up he can't talk about the case until it's resolved, seeing as how he still faces the possibility of being charged himself with solicitation. "He said if I spoke publicly, he would drop me like a hot potato," Curtis said, referring to his attorney.
That's too bad, since explaining his votes against domestic partners and basic civil rights might help to remind the eager gossip blogger-mongers out there that this man is the alleged victim here. I'm not sure what form the explanation would take, although I can imagine that he viewed his own same-sex urges as wrong and a threat to his marriage -- so maybe he viewed others the same way.

I don't pretend to know what any of you must be feeling at this particular place and time... but I am elated that yet another White, "straight," HAPPY HETEROSEXUAL, who may like man meat injections, who has gone on PUBLIC RECORD as having voted against legislation that would ensure equality and the rights of my fellow LGBT brothers and sisters, who HAS now been exposed as a FRAUD and now faces his moment of truth for two timing what some RR's consider family values. At the very least, I realistically live up to my own expectations...all of my life I actually remained true to what I believe to be my core VALUES; even when I faced abuses, trials, threats, violence or unpopularity- I remained TRUE to my core VALUES. AND NOT ONCE did I consider myself a victim. I considered the words of my religionist/abusive/dry drunk, homo-obsessed father, when he said "son, adversity builds character-" so-the-fuck-what! Adversity can destroy some people. I constantly see the photos, they speak for themselves. I just read about the new scandal brewing (Chris Crain - Gay blogger) and I am saddened for all involved. From the Curtis family, the exploited (for sex and porn) male prostitute (Cody Castagna), Rep. Curtis and even the gay bloggers having yet another field day with the whole sad and sordid details. My first knee jerk reaction was to go and cull out and quote all the horrible things the gay bloggers were saying and describe them in all kinds of ways that would try to make the case that, in other areas, they were as hypocritical as the Representative. First off WHERE is the HYPOCRISY? I see nothing hypocritical about my pointing out the fetishes of a straight, married, State Representative who consistently votes anti-gay-ly. What I’m trying to point out is, this was 1990. HRC, the Human Right’s Campaign, which is the largest gay lobby in the world, is bragging all the time about the gay buying power. About the corporate equality index. There is a lot of tolerance in this country. There is a lot of freedom in this country. And those who identify as gay, are exhibiting that.
To pass ENDA, and create a protected class – and I’m not black, and I’m not a woman, and I’ve never been a woman – but I do respect civil rights. I do respect Dr. King, and for ENDA and hate crimes legislation, to create–a special class, or a protected class, undercuts civil rights–to the core.
Now is there an issue of homosexuality in the workplace? Sure, let’s talk about that. Let’s have a dialogue about homosexuality in the workplace. And the dynamics that that causes inside the workplace. Valid concerns, absolutely. And where there is a problem, like I experienced, we should take care of it. But as a former gay identified man, and I say former, because I am no longer gay. I did experience a change in my identity, as well as my sexuality. But as a former gay man, I see this perspective. Speaking of HRC, they’re a 501c3. I very much doubt that they’re going to hire me, because of my sexual reorientation. This law would open up the possibility for me to be able to say, you know what, you didn’t hire me, because of my sexual REorientation. And if that’s confusing to you, good. Because this public policy is very confusing. It is bad public policy. And on that merit alone, morality aside, this public policy is terrible. It should not be getting to this place.
I say, respect, get to know your gay identified neighbor. They deserve respect and dignity, every human person does. But don’t pass bad public policy, out of a good intentions (sic). Thank you.

I posted the entire transcript of his speech above because, a clip which was filmed and placed on youtube.com is, since just this morning "no longer available." My guess, Randy Thomas was caught in a lie and/or he and Bishop Jackson realized how his anti-ENDA speech makes absolutely no sense. Many other bloggers have been using that clip to prove how Exodus International actually feels about homosexuals, and it's time they were exposed for the lies they consistently tell and held accountable for the damage their EVIL lobbying creates.
Randy according to his own published testimony at Stonewall Revisited claims to be a raging drunk and a drug user in 1990 almost committing suicide from one of his binges. He also claims he couldn't stay sober. He claims AA and a friend helped him come to Christ in 1992 after admitting he'd been a drunk since "16." For what it's worth, if he was actually working for a Fortune 500 Corporation that discriminated against him for being GAY as he states in the exgaywatch.com transcript from the video, why does he state this in his testimony:
Thirty days later I was on a Greyhound bus headed for Dallas. My Aunt gave me a chance to "start over." I immediately found the best gay bars and drugs Dallas had to offer. Which lead me to the night of New Years 1990.
That night, when I saw Death, was the night I hit bottom. That night my soul cried out and God lifted His eyes to me once again. I couldn't see Him but He cared for me.
I found a new telemarketing job and I met this wonderful lady named Steffany. She didn't care that I was gay. She talked about acceptance and unconditional love. She invited me to a twelve-step program dance and I had such a good time I didn't even miss drinking.
I sobered up for the first time on Feb. 23rd, 1990. During this time, I went from selling on the phones to working in the corporate computer room. I actually started paying my bills. I was at the beginning of a fulfilled gay life, or so I thought.
One day, while driving, I looked up at the sky, and these radiant beams of light were shredding this cloud and all of a sudden I knew " don't know how" but I knew God had gotten me off drugs! He had orchestrated every move. He had a purpose for my life.
Needless to say I nearly wrecked! For the first time I experienced Him. However, eventually God was placed behind my own vanity and pride rooted in homosexuality.
I did start drinking again but during my relapse, Steffany had become a born-again Christian. When I re-established in the 12-step program (March 17th 1992), we re-connected.
My guess is he is lying because he is trying to prove that ENDA is harmful to Christians. He was probably almost fired for repeated violations of work standards or ethics- drunks and drug addicts usually lie, cheat and steal from the company in VAST ways. Drunks and drug addicts come to work messed up, can't function, don't perform and make bad mistakes. Drunks and drug addicts call in sick even if they are not. I'm not casting aspersions about his experience here, I'm just being realistic- if he wants to explain his published testimony versus this recent transcript for Bishop Harry Jackson's lobby, come out publicly and be honest.

So it's weird. In many ways, we actually believe Obama more when he makes his pro-gay opinions known than we believe any of the other Dem candidates. He also comes across like a genuinely decent guy. I found this comment particularly noteworthy, so I am bringing it to the attention of my readers. It hits directly at the core of what I have been thinking about and what I feel I am up against living on this planet, with people, I think, for the most part, refuse to tolerate any ideology that challenges their world view. I admit I do not tolerate certain things very well. I dislike stupidity, I dislike rudeness. I dislike people who can not reason. I dislike people who make inflammatory remarks just to get attention. I realize that those qualities to some degree, exist in me- therefore I assert that I should not tolerate it when I realize those qualities-in me. I find myself doing my best to redress when I identify them. I strive to eradicate my own ignorance with education.

Queertardo, I have say that in your absence I searched around other blogs. (No, I did not abandon you). I have to say that there are just not that many blogs (gay blogs that is) that deal with manipulated information in the media. To make one think and wonder. Take a different perspective than what one is told to take.
Our senses are being bombarded with senseless shit (entertainment) while a WAR is raging and the spiritually weak cry out for saving.
I just didn't get how gay people affected the ignorant, it just never dawned on me. Religion never really took a hold on me so why speak/act in the boundaries that it required. It took me a while to realize this bothered people and they used my being gay as reason for not conforming or being different....duh. FUCK THEM.
But thru blogs such as yours and others voices are being used in way that ask people to think.

You're correct Anonymous. There is a barrage of media reports on the internet manipulating the facts, and a great deal of fear is being used in an attempt to get unintelligent followers to support bad ideas. Look at the recent fear mongering MANIPULATIONS being talked about in my favorite blogs- the manipulations are being pointed out and laughed at by the writers of the blog sources I have linked:

I point out the information that fascinates me. I think I have for the past 6 or so months tried to be authentic about my feelings. Several times I was insulted by the likes of an anonymous House Wife and Mother, Mala Lopez and Marcus Loewe. Instead of questioning and attacking my ideas, they insulted my intelligence, called me names and refused to understand that the logical information I was blogging about was based on what is currently in the news with a bit of a twist of my own ironic sense of humor. I see it for not what it is- I see it as a launch pad for how I think and view my surroundings. I appreciate that the anonymous commenter who launched this blog entry "gets" what is happening. When there are stories every day about people being mistreated globally, natural disasters, genocide, corrupt politicians, anti-gay fanatics screaming, anti-minority bigots building fences and toting guns, anti-abortion fascists who will never give to save a life, but Anna Nicole Smith's doctors, Paris Hilton's clothing, and Harry Potter's GAY character replaces the urgency of the truth about our WORLD, something needs to be done. Why doesn't Bush and the screaming throngs against peace go fight the war in the front lines and let the overworked over taxed and underpaid soldiers come home to their families? Why don't the ex-gay Christians who want "morality" stop obsessing about my PERCEIVED sex life? Why don't the bigots who want tougher border control start taking the jobs they claim dispossesses Americans or shut up and admit they just hate people of color? Why don't the family values folks who want there to be sanctity in marriage ban divorce or find love for the woman "he" had to marry because "he" knocked "her" up and didn't "believe in" abortion.
There is a killer in the White House begging congress for $67 billion more to fund his war game, there are "patriots" screaming at peace protesters over this senseless war, and there are displaced people all across America because of Katrina, wild fires and other avoidable circumstances. We have technology available, we have educators, we have the resources but the people who are supposed to be running this country have abdicated their minds for degeneracy. They are not running the show well- they are running us out of time and energy because they don't care about the future of EVERYBODY.
I realize I may sound angry, I'm challenging a mindset. I don't accept what the current FEAR MONGERING administration is doing as viable. Far be it from me to advise you, but you shouldn't either- it will destroy what little sanity is left in this world. I guess I could just put up pictures of cute men, say silly things and hope to meet someone who'll take me away from all of this death... but that would not be very wholesome or genuine or realistic or queertardo of me. I'm trying to be a wiser, more mature human who is willing to fight the nasties. There aught to be prevention for stupidity, fear, bigotry and lies.

I spent a lot of time alone. I stayed at the studio of my ex and he works two jobs to secure the really large studio space in a recently developed neighborhood in downtown Ontario CA. Years ago when I lived in LA I worked for a family of property managers and they now own his complex- it's amazing the small degree of separation between people. I know for my ex, it is difficult to make ends meet- so I went to help him prepare for a show- I ended up collaborating on his final piece, he welcomed and encouraged my enthusiasm and creativity. The piece turned out to be the focal point of the show. I have a lovely photo I'll post later.
I helped cook and prepare for his open studio and we really didn't have more than a handful of people that attended. Nonetheless it was successful because I saw some friends, helped some friends and was able to just relax all day on SUNDAY. I sat on the couch and watched ten movies, only taking breaks for restroom and food. I totally COUCH POTATOED.
Anyway- I am still settling in to my old ways back home, I have lots to do and very little time to download my photos, write, update, check comments etc. I will get back to the swing of things. I have some new ideas, some new perspectives and some new attitudes. Oh, and I got new glasses today- I am adjusting because I have been having distance problems for years.

I just received word that on November 4th at the Paramount in Oakland, I will be seeing Diana Ross in concert. Because I have good karma, swell people in my life, and I have apparently made meals that are worthy of granting me special favors with women whose husbands would never be caught DEAD at a Diana Ross concert, I was first choice to accompany my friend Mitzi... maybe she just knows I'm into the big GAY experience this concert represents??? Who knows? So what, the BIG gay GOD has shined upon me his FAVOR. I've never had the privilege of seeing Ms. Ross but... oh my GOD, HOW GAY.
OKAY, I've thought of all my favorite songs she sings, her disco period, all the gossip surrounding her, every joke about her orange prison jumpsuit, but for some strange reason I decided to leave you this clip from an episode of LOVE BOAT instead- totally unrelated to Ms. Ross, but TOTALLY GAY nonetheless. Today instead of going to the house (which is under-going a major remodel) and working there, I stayed chained to the stove in the kitchen. I think I have mentioned to my readers that tomorrow I am leaving for LA to stay until next Monday??? Well in case you're just tuning in, I am going to spend time with my ex in LA- and help him set up an art show/reception he is collaborating with one of my past college art professors. I would feel irresponsible to the family I nanny, if I just left without preparing meals and snacks ahead of time- and so I cooked and baked ALL day. I baked 3 batches of chocolate chip cookies, two loaves of banana bread; made a dozen enchiladas, "Spanish" style rice, a crock pot of lamb&vegetable soup, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, breaded chicken breasts, prepared vegetables in zip lock storage bags and placed each prepared main dish with the accompanying side dish(es) in the refrigerator taped to a card encased in a ziplock baggie explaining e.g. enchiladas, rice, guacamole, chips- sour cream and salsa. I think they'll be fed for the entire time I'm gone- if not, I think they can find a suitable restaurant. OKAY so I got really anal retentive. I know they'll survive, and thank me when I return for being so thorough. I realize how lucky I am to have this domestic kind of job- it's sorta everything I've wanted in life. But I look at how I'm getting a paid week's vacation from the daily remodeling, cooking, laundry, and dog sitting etc. I figure covering all the food basics is the least I could do for "MY family." Oh, I need to go finish the laundry- later...
