As long as their intent is to protect what they view as righteous indignation, bible based sinfulness and "scriptural" anti-gay commandments, it doesn't matter if Christians tell bald faced lies to protect what I consider to be superstitious beliefs, and fables right? All they have to do to feel sanctified, is claim "I have a right to express religious freedom." After they tell these heinous lies, all they are required to do, is repent and all is right with GAWD!

Director Kirby Dick's new documentary Outrage looks at closeted politicians who take public stands against gay rights.

We know ALL about former President Clinton’s escapades and the details of John Edwards’ affair are fair game. So should reporting about Rep. Ed Schrock, cosponsor of the Federal Marriage Amendment, trolling for sex on a gay phone line. Outrage is bringing this debate to the general public and I welcome it.

Last Friday, the documentary Outrage opened in select cities. This film by Oscar-nominated documentarian Kirby Dick (Twist of Fate, Sick, This Film Is Not Yet Rated) is getting serious attention because it outs prominent federal, state and local politicos. The film outs not just run of the mill closeted politicians but the kind that really have it out for the LGBT community. You know, those folks that ACTIVELY fight against gay marriage, partner benefits, and gay adoptions, basically anything that might put us on equal footing with our heterosexual counterparts.

Outing will, no doubt, get plenty of debate in the coming weeks and this gets me to thinking. I have a ton of interest in the exploration of the main stream media’s culpability in not reporting on the sexual behavior of closeted gay men (or bi men or men who have sex with men – gotta hit all the categories) who choose to work on legislation against the interests of the GLBT community. The men featured in Outrage are not surprises to many in the gay world. It’s been reported by blogs like blogActive.com and reporters like Michelangelo Signorile for years. Why is it that the intimate details of straight politicians can go under the microscope but when it comes to the sex life of these hypocrites there is nary a peep from the mainstream outlets? Dick's thesis is that Washington's closeted homosexual lawmakers, most of them members of the GOP, staunchly -- often stridently -- oppose equal rights measures for gays because they're anxious to conceal their own sexual orientation. He also shares a sentiment voiced by openly gay Democratic Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts who told the filmmakers that his Republican colleagues have "a right to privacy, but there's no right to hypocrisy."

Yesterday, Mike Rogers appeared on News Channel 8's Let's Talk Live and the host, Doug Mckelway, was not too friendly, threatened to punch Rogers across the face and then basically begged him to take him to the movie. The segment, was about the movie, but Mckelway really didn't address the movie as much as he disagreed with "outing" poor, closeted homos who use their power for bad.
Mike Rogers explains his POV eloquently, but Mckelway totally enraged, responds, threatenedly, menacingly and he constantly talks over Rogers and his own co-host.

Today, Mckelway says he will not apologize for his threat "to take Mike Rogers outside and punch him across the face." Does Mckelway "hate" Rogers' tactics of outing politicians who vote against gay civil rights legislations while they get their gay on the DL or is it simply misdirected hatred towards Rogers because he may not want to be outed himself? hmmmmmmmmm.

Adam Lambert fans may have mixed feelings over the appearance of their “Idol” on the new cover of Entertainment Weekly. They may also have mixed feelings over the accompanying story, which spends some time dwelling on Adam’s sexual orientation and wondering whether an “openly gay” contestant can win “American Idol” (This, despite the fact that Adam has never come out on the show).

Tuesday afternoon, April 28, several major homosexual activist figures, including a prominent state employee, led a screaming demonstration to terrorize a downtown Boston church while it was holding a peaceful religious training event inside. Using a bullhorn, they illegally trampled through an adjoining Revolutionary War-era cemetery in order to be directly outside the church's windows. Despite numerous apparent violations of the law, the Boston Police talked with them but refused to make any arrests.
The group of about 30 hardcore homosexual activists started their demonstration across the street from the church, in the Boston Common, around noon. After a few haranguing speeches, they marched (with a high-powered bullhorn) to the sidewalk in front of the church and began screaming and chanting.

That looks more like a *protest to me. I recall at every PRIDE PARADE I have ever attended the throngs of fenced in, loving, happy, shiny, Christian "protesters" holding their signs and fabric banners with diverse slogans such as, "God Hates Fags," "Burn In Hell Sodomites," and "Love the Homosexual Sinners, hate the Sin of Homosexuality."

PS. and BTW, I distinctly remember that at the last AIDS WALK SF I attended, "protesters" with hateful signs that read, "Gay = Poo Play" and other equally berating slogans, chanted "turn or burn, sodomites!" at the top of their voices, and no one- no one mind you is defining them as a terrorist. Convicted crack addict, three times divorced and four times married, indicted three times for tax evasion and one DUI arrest, "moral politician" Marion Barry (D-Ward 8), defending his anti-gay "bigoted" position.

The D.C. Council overwhelmingly approved a bill yesterday to recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere, in a vote that followed a sharp exchange between an openly gay member and a civil rights champion and set off shouts of reproach from local ministers.

Barry, a prominent figure during the civil rights movement, said that he "agonized" over whether to oppose the bill but that he decided to stand with the "ministers who stand on the moral compass of God."

The council passed the measure by a vote of 12 to 1. During the debate, council member David A. Catania (I-At Large) accused Marion Barry (D-Ward 8), who cast the dissenting vote, of having taken a "bigoted" position.

After the vote, enraged African American ministers stormed the hallway outside the council chambers and vowed that they will work to oust the members who supported the bill, which was sponsored by Phil Mendelson (D-At Large). And because she is NOT running for political office, she has no real answers about "civil unions" or whether or not gays should have more than "some rights" or "you know hospital rights and things like that:"

When I left San Francisco in 2006, I never dreamed in a million years, this incident, which I can only describe as unfuckingacceptable, could happen. San Francisco Drag Royalty, Sainted Community Member, Host and Toast of many of San Francisco's finest club nights, drag shows and a community fundraiser extraordinaire, Anna Conda and husband were asked to leave a concert at The Fillmore after an obnoxious homophobe was reported to the bartender as harassing them and calling them fags.

Anna's own words which were posted on facebook.com are as follows:

I have been to the Fillmore several...HUNDRED.... times but last night for the Ladytron/Faint double bill may very well be my last.
During the Faint a 6,3" jock in a purple dress shirt walked by Brett and I and called us fags. I turned around and said "What?"
He said " I called you fags you wanna do something about it. No I didn't think so. Fuckin Faggots"
I went to the bartender because that just ain't right man! I was afraid because he was pretty big and pretty belligerent.
So I went to the bartender and said "Hey that guy called us fags."
The bartender got the security and I was promptly escorted from the premises. I tried explaining but they put big black marks on my hand and asked me to leave. "The bartender wants you out of here." That was the explanation.
When we got home I called the Fillmore and they said "Oh are you outside? Come back in."
HELLO? I had just been humiliated and removed from a 50 dollar show and the bigot who started it all got to stay and watch the show. It was probably his hetero privilege bachelor party!
This is the kind of thing that can't happen again! Sure the Fillmore said ooops and offered to have us see the show AGAIN for free but that isn't the real issue. A gift will not take away the humiliation at the hands of the ignorant masses. I will never feel quite safe at the Fillmore if I should CHOOSE to return.

Many of Anna Conda's facebook friends offered exceptional advice, support, and non-threatening actions which everyone affected by this and the aftermath of incidents like this can do. Blog about it, talk it up to your friends and community, report the abuse and boycott the living hell out of establishments that sponsor this deplorable act of homophobia. Not one to sit idly by, I am doing my part by identifying and reporting this issue to my readers. All LGBT people and their supporters should act in solidarity. This should never have happened, and should never happen again. Up to the minute, Anna Conda and supporters, organized a Fillmore Hates Fags advocacy group on facebook, told all of her friends, reported it to local media and a complaint has been filed with The SF Board of Supervisors.

In an incident that can only be described as deplorable; security staff at the Fillmore concert venue here in San Francisco removed Ms. Anna Conda and her husband after they were verbally assaulted and called 'fags' by a patron at the event they were attending last evening. After reporting the incident to a Fillmore bartender, the two were approached by security and told to leave because 'the bartender wanted them out'.

This cannot be allowed to stand. Today we unite and let The Fillmore know that we will not sit still for this treatment. This group has been created in an attempt to organize a protest at The Fillmore; hopefully by this evening's event.

Join us, invite your friends and come out to support your LGBT brothers and sisters as we continue to fight for our rights and make it known that we are no longer going to accept this abuse.

UPDATE: 04.30.2009 14.35: Live Nation has contacted Ms. Anna and offered their sincerity, apologies and provided assurances that the situation will be taken care of. They have also donated prizes to be used as fund raisers for Raya Light's AIDS Ride Benefit tomorrow night at Charlie Horse at the Cinch Saloon on Polk Street!

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA contestant from California who famously declared her opposition to same sex marriage on the pageant stage, will star in a new $1.5 million ad campaign funded by the National Organization for Marriage.

Prejean was roasted by same-sex marriage advocates after she stood up for what she called "opposite marriage" (marriage between a man and a woman) when responding to a question from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton during the pageant. But she's also become a fresh-faced standard-bearer for the same-sex marriage opponents, who have rallied to her defense.

The National Organziation for Marriage has scheduled a press conference with Prejean in Washington on Thursday to unveil the new ad, called "No Offense."

PS. and BTW, when a pageant queen eff's up her poignant Q and A moment, she deserves all the harsh criticism it is sure to receive. And despite the ignorance of R-North Carolina Virgina Foxx's remarks claiming Matthew Shepard was the victim of a robbery and not a hate crime, thus making it all a HOAX, the Federal Bill passed.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday approved an expansion of federal "hate crime" laws -- an effort that former Republican President George W. Bush had opposed.

On a vote of 249-175, the House passed and sent to the Senate a bill backed by the new Democratic White House to broaden such laws by classifying as "hate crimes" those attacks based on a victim's sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability.

The current law, enacted four decades ago, limits federal jurisdiction over hate crimes to assaults based on race, color, religion or national origin.

Flake went on for about two minutes, much to the delight of many in the pews, who cheered and applauded as the church organist punctuated the reverend’s words with notes from “I’ve Got a Woman,” by Ray Charles.
The sentiment, shared in many churches, would normally warrant little notice. Mr. Flake is the pastor of a predominantly black congregation in a community with a socially conservative tilt — hardly an unlikely spokesman for those opposed to same-sex marriage. On Monday, same-sex couples will have the right to seek marriage licenses allowing them to wed after a three-day waiting period.

Villanueva is urging people to go to their local courthouse on Monday and pray at 7:45 a.m. She says she plans to show at the Van Buren County courthouse in Keosauqua.

Anti-gay, Pentecostal preacher and NY state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr. is wrecked that Gov. Dave Paterson is introducing a marriage equality bill tomorrow and has called for an "emergency summit." Elizabeth Benjamin at the NY Daily News states:

Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr. has called an emergency summit of the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization tomorrow to strategize on the "next steps to take" in response to Gov. David Paterson's expected introduction of a bill to legalize same-sex marriage.

In a brief telephone interview this morning, Diaz Sr., a Pentecostal minister who has long been vocal in his opposition to gay marriage, questioned Paterson's timing and called it "ridiculous," particularly given the fact that this is the week Archbishop Timothy Dolan is being installed in his new job.

"I think this is the wrong time to do it," Diaz Sr. said. "(Paterson) is doing this as a welcoming ceremony for the new Catholic? It's ridiculous."

In the press release announcing tomorrow's meeting at the Christian Community Neighborhood Church, the Bronx Democrat went even further, calling the governor's move "disrespectful, and adding: "If I were Governor Paterson, I would abstain from going to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the welcoming ceremony and to celebrate Mass.”

Elizabeth Benjamin also points out that openly gay Sen. Thomas Duane says he believes the Senate now has the necessary votes to pass marriage equality.

Sen. Tom Duane, who was initially not pleased with Paterson's decision to push gay marriage, now says he believes the bill will pass "with bipartisan support," although he isn't naming the names of any GOP supporters.

So far, four Senate Democrats, including Diaz Sr., are on the record as saying they will oppose the bill. Asked if he believes the measure could pass, Diaz Sr. said: "I can't talk anymore. Tomorrow, tomorrow, after I talk to my ministers. I don't know what's going to happen."

It has been widely speculated that Smith honored Diaz Sr.'s call for a promise not to let the gay marriage bill onto the Senate floor in exchange for his vote during the leadership battle.

Diaz Sr. has been mum on that, saying only that he was "satisfied" by his talks with Smith that led to his "yes" vote that helped make Smith leader.

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute noted the goal cited by GLSEN is to reduce bullying on school campuses, especially bullying perceived as targeting homosexual students or those with other "alternative' sexual lifestyles.
"No one supports bullying," she told WND. "Every school has more than ample anti-bullying policies in place. … For GLSEN, the means by which they want to end bullying is to normalize volitional homosexual conduct."
Higgins said the homosexual organization's aims have the effect of censoring the belief that homosexual conduct is wrong.
"They … shouldn't be politicizing the classrooms," she said.
GSLEN has sponsored the nationwide silent protest every April for the last 12 years. The event is said to be a showing of support for "gay," lesbian, bisexual and transgender victims of violence and bullying. According to GSLEN's 2005 National School Climate Survey, four out of five LGBT children experience harassment in school. The organization claims 64 percent of "gay" students feel unsafe at school because of their sexual orientation and 41 percent because of their "gender expression."

GLSEN claims there are about 4,000 homosexual clubs now in American high schools and middle schools.
"Students should focus on academics in school. They should not be allowed to end their verbal engagement in class for a social agenda," said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute in Sacramento.
"We pay California teachers to teach – by speaking in classrooms – and teachers should also be expected to fully discharge their duties this coming Friday," she said. "If a school allows teachers to stop teaching, it should not get tax dollars for educating our students on that day."
The "Walkout" coalition said the "implicit purpose [of the promotion] is to undermine the belief that homosexuality is immoral."
"It is the belief of the sponsors of the Walkout that parents should no longer passively accept the political usurpation of taxpayer funded public school classrooms through student silence," the group said. "The DOS requires that teachers either create activities around or exempt silent students from any activity that involves speaking. DOS participants have a captive audience, many of whom disagree with and are made uncomfortable by the politicization of their classroom."
Higgins said it is a valid effort to teach students that "diverse opinions" exist, but "it is not legitimate to imply that one of those opinions is preferable to another.

Obviously Higgins and England have not read the facts about bullying, nor have they seen anything relevant about bullying in the news lately. FYI: The Illinois Family Institute is a certified hate group. (New York City) New York Archbishop-designate Timothy Dolan said Monday, on the eve of his installation, that he will challenge the idea that the Roman Catholic Church is unenlightened because it opposes gay marriage and abortion.

In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, Dolan said he wants to restore pride in being Catholic, especially given the damage the church endured in the clergy sex abuse scandal, which he called a continuing source of shame.

Dolan said he would challenge any efforts to legalize same-sex marriage in New York, but insisted that his position was not anti-gay.

“We love them,” he said of gays and lesbians. “We would defend their rights.”

CWA has filed their tax return for the year ended June 30, 2008. One of their obvious financial problems is that they are addicted to outside telemarketers. In fact, they spent more half of their gross revenues on outside fund raisers. To raise $10.4 million, they spent more than $5.5 million on outside fund raisers. People should know that less than 47 cents of every dollar they donate goes to CWA. They paid out almost a half-million dollars for list rentals which may – or may not – be included in the outside marketers expenses.

A few notes of interest:

Their deficit for the year was $767,716
This left them with a negative net asset value of $49,875.
Their payables ballooned 44% from $832 thousand to $1.2 million. Their vendors are are probably not being paid on time — if at all.
Included in the donation total is $129,000 that they booked as a receivable. In other words funds pledged but nor received.
J. Matt (Bam Bam) Barber was being paid $91,000.
They paid Janie Shaw Crouse as a consultant a sum of $115,433.There are some potential tax issues.
Two of the outside contractors have conflicts of interest. For expample, Advanced Marketing Concepts is owned by Beverly LaHaye's son and received $265,177.

It is also unlikely that CWA felt the full brunt of the recession in the year ended June 30, 2008. I would speculate that they are now deep in the financial crapper. With a negative net asset value, it will be nearly impossible to borrow money. They currently owe Beverly LaHaye $150,000, she better get ready to pony up if she wants to keep this endeavor of hate alive. Some Not All Shall Be Recovered... Gay Marriage Is Likened To Flood Damage

Flood waters destroy houses, ruin offices buildings and displace families. Yet, recovery happens. Houses are rebuilt. Businesses relocate. Families eventually find housing.

Legalized "homosexual marriage," on the other hand, does far more pervasive and irrecoverable damage. Civilization itself is eroded as marriage, the central building block of culture and society, is redefined. Soon, our sons and daughters are confused about what it means to be male and female, as "homosexual marriage" gains both legal status and visibility in neighborhoods and the classroom. Pator Schumacher goes on to say, "Marriage is attacked when church members go undisciplined for fornication and adultery. Marriage is dishonored through abusive husbands and disrespectful wives, through the use of Internet pornography and the reading of smutty novels."

What about remarriage? The most common error Bible-illiterate preachers make is regarding adultery. Adultery is re-marriage. Remarriage is a broken vow to love, honor and cherish as long as they both shall live. The Bible says nothing about homosexual remarriage destroying families and lives, but you can bet heterosexuals who have broken their vows, divorced and remarried have defiled the "sanctity" of marriage. The Bible also says nothing about Internet pornography and smutty novels, the Bibile does say in Matthew 19:9 "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." Even worse, Matthew 5:32; 19:9; and Luke 16:18 indicate a continuous state of adultery.

Funny how gays are accused of "damaging" marriage when heterosexuals historically and consistently destroyed marriage with divorce, remarriage, child abandonment, spousal abuse and child abuse. But let's not face the facts shall we, the flood gates have been opened in Iowa as hell bent gays have set loose the proverbial Kraken!

Pastor Schumacher goes on further to say "Marriage is honored when biblical roles for husbands and wives are humbly and joyfully taught, modeled and encouraged. Marriage is protected when pastors ask tough questions of potential and current members about the divorce they are pursuing and the children they have abandoned. Marriage is honored when pastors follow biblical standards when considering which ceremonies to officiate."

Biblically, marriage was honored with a dowry, initiated at a price, and even granted after rape. It's rather difficult to live up to Biblical standards, especially when women were customarily treated as property, forced to marry as children, cast out if they displeased their husbands sexually, were stoned to death if even accused of infidelity or were unfortunately incapable of producing a male heir.

Please Pastor Schumacher a little intellectual honesty on the subject should be levered. If heterosexuals can not accept full responsibility for the destruction of their own institution of marriage, than the term, all it's legal protections and all the ramifications the word implies is TOTALLY up for debate. Leave us and our right to marriage alone before word gets out you haven't read or taught what The Bible FACTUALLY states about marriage.

(Washington) The Obama White House, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have announced today a new five-year national communication campaign to combat complacency about the HIV/AIDS crisis in the United States.

CDC data show that every 9-and-a-half minutes another person in America becomes infected with HIV. About 56,000 Americans become newly infected with HIV each year, according to the data released last year. The figures were significantly higher than in previous CDC reports.

Each year, more than 14,000 people die of AIDS and AIDS-related diseases.

The new campaign has been dubbed “Act Against AIDS”

“Act Against AIDS seeks to put the HIV crisis back on the national radar screen,” said Melody Barnes, Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council.

So I'm at a stoplight ready to cross the street and "hit" my favorite Thriftstore. There's a 30-something man to my left wearing a tank top, covered in tattoos, stretching and staring at me. The House and Senate on Tuesday overrode Gov. Jim Douglas’ veto of a marriage bill.

A key lawmaker in Iowa ruled out any move to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision to legalizing same sex marriage in the state, despite threats from the “Religious Right” to put pressure on the Legislature to overturn the ruling.

Senate Majority Leader Michael Gronstal, D-Council Bluffs, was clear about proposals to begin the process of amending Iowa’s constitution to overturn the decision.

Gronstal said: “It will not come up. I have no intention of taking it up.”

In a commentary called "GLSEN and the Hitler Youth," World Net Daily columnist Judith Reisman today compared Day of Silence participants, GLSEN and students who participate in Gay-Straight Alliance student clubs to Hitler Youth. The column was featured on the wnd.com front page.

"Last week at our Lobby Day in Washington, DC, I saw students aglow with joy after having the opportunity to speak directly with their elected representatives and take part in our democratic processes," said GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard. "Today I read a commentary comparing those young people, as well as me and my staff, to Nazis. We can only hope this is some sort of sick April Fool’s joke."

Reisman’s piece also attacks the National Education Association and the American Library Association, saying they act similarly to Hitler's National Socialist Teachers Association.

But the brunt of Reisman's attack is directed at GLSEN and the hundreds of thousands of students who will participate in the Day of Silence on April 17 to bring attention to anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender name-calling, bullying and harassment. Students from more than 7,500 middle and high schools participated in 2008.

In reality, nearly 9 out of 10 LGBT youth (86.2%) reported being verbally harassed at school in the past year because of their sexual orientation, nearly half (44.1%) reported being physically harassed and about a quarter (22.1%) reported being physically assaulted, according to GLSEN's 2007 National School Climate Survey of more than 6,000 LGBT students.

Additionally 60.8% of LGBT students said they felt unsafe at school because of their sexual orientation, and nearly a third (32.7%) said they had missed a day of school in the past month because of feeling unsafe.

"Bullying and harassment based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression is a real and endemic problem in our nation's schools," said Byard, who along with several GLSEN student and teacher representatives met with Education Secretary Arne Duncan last week to discuss the problem. "I admire and respect the young people who are trying to make a positive difference in their schools, and am sad to think that anyone would make them the target of this kind of violent speech. (New York City) Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people have been denied access to HIV services funded with U.S. foreign assistance, the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission said Wednesday in a letter to Secretary of State Clinton. The IGLHRC letter called for a more inclusive approach to sexual and reproductive health policy overseas, and the appointment of a Global AIDS Coordinator prepared to promote LGBT health and rights.

“In recent years, U.S. policy has by and large neglected the needs of LGBT people worldwide,” said Cary Alan Johnson, IGLHRC’s Executive Director.

“The Obama administration should use this moment of great change to bring U.S. HIV funding overseas into harmony with our stated commitments to science, human rights and inclusion.”

Most U.S. HIV funding is channeled through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, known as PEPFAR, which was created under the Bush administration.

While PEPFAR has undoubtedly saved many lives, it is ideologically driven, the IGLHRC said.

“[This] approach has meant that LGBT people around the world—many of whom are highly vulnerable to HIV infection and confront a crippling web of human rights violations—have been systematically excluded from its scope.”

The letter noted that PEPFAR promotes abstinence-only-until marriage programming rather than comprehensive HIV education, “an approach that has proven to be ineffective and discriminatory against gay men and lesbians.” (Source, 365gay.com)

Hate Is Still An Issue

(Brussels) Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals face widespread harassment, bullying and discrimination across Europe, according to an EU report released Tuesday.

That harassment and discrimination occurs “in all areas of social life,” from schools to the workplace to health care centers, the report by the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency said.

Agency Director Morten Kjaerum said the investigation found gays and lesbians continue to face assault and other physical attacks due to their sexual orientation despite EU rules meant to guarantee equality in the 27-nation bloc.

The report, which compiled studies and surveys from across Europe, said homophobic abuse is usually carried out by young men in groups, but is also persistent at work, in school or when trying to get medical care.

Kjaerum appealed to EU nations to improve equality legislation, to better record hate crimes “and to train police accordingly.” The agency also recommended better awareness campaigns to promote diversity and fight discrimination. (Source, 365gay.com)

Simply put, hatred and hate groups flourish because of homophobia. Conservative anti-gay groups perpetuate and fuel homophobia with fear, mischaracterizations of LGBT persons and hide behind attitudes toward loss of personal religious freedoms. While I would never advocate limiting religious freedoms, the issue needs to be addressed regarding these hateful people and groups. But the fact still remains that the FRA report finds that discrimination affects the lives of LGBT persons in all walks of life, ranging from harassment in schools to discrimination in employment or health care. In some Member States, LGBT NGO premises have been vandalised or burnt down. Events such as Gay Pride marches have been banned or obstructed in some Member States. The report also notes that hate speech by public figures is a particularly worrying phenomenon, as it negatively affects public opinion, thus fueling intolerance.

Oprah Winfrey's elite boarding school for girls in South Africa has been rocked by its second sex scandal in fewer than two years.

Seven students were suspended last week for sexually harassing their schoolmates, the "Afrikaans on Sunday" newspaper reported.

One 15-year-old was accused of preying on another pupil and forcing other girls to lie to investigators about it, the paper reported.

"You have been found guilty of physical contact of a sexual nature with another pupil on campus, harassment, bullying other girls on campus and of being dishonest by not telling investigators the whole truth," a letter to her parents read.

Well by serendipity a chunk of pleasure reading fell into my lap the other day and had me wondering; if I wasn't so absorbed with my own gay agenda, would I be less politically motivated and more open about my own gay personal life?

They strike a familiar chord within the reader.

I was enlightened to a new blog yesterday, which accomplishes it's intentions; personal expressions to which many people can relate, while detailing the writers environment. I want to share this blog with my readers. March 26, 2009 – San Francisco Values Democrat Ellen Tauscher (CA) has introduced H.R. 1283, the “Military Readiness Enhancement Act Of 2009.” She already has 136 co-sponsors.

Her misnamed bill should be called the “Legalization Of Sodomy On The Battlefield And Barracks Act” to more accurately describe what the legislation will legalize.

The bill will amend Title 10 of the United States Code to replace the current policy on homosexuals with a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

The Tauscher bill will impose the homosexual agenda on the military!

This would have a devastating impact on our military readiness. The best and most patriotic of American soldiers would leave the service to individuals with sexual identity problems.

Imagine the impact that the rampant spread of STDs, including HIV would have on the military? How will the military handle the spread of these diseases in the barracks? How will the military handle sodomy in battlefield situations?

Imagine the impact that sexual favoritism would have in subverting military cohesion? A homosexual Sergeant who was in love with a member of his company, could protect his lover from battle – or send a straight soldier into harm’s way just to punish him for having the wrong attitudes about homosexuality. Straight soldiers could be denied promotion by militant gay officers. The military chain of command would be undermined.

In addition to the coming persecution of straight soldiers, what about the unrestrained drug and sex antics committed by young male homosexuals? Homosexual sex is consistently related to drug use, including crystal meth and other sexually-stimulating drugs. What sort of chaos will be caused in the military by bare-backing parties and other forms of homosexual orgies? The Traditional Values Coalition, an inter-denominational public policy organization speaking on behalf of over 43,000 churches.

Soooooooooooooooooo, according to TVC, if The US passes H.R. 1283, the Military will be a nonstop drug-fueled, circuit party, sex orgy, rampant with homosexual partiality, in-cohesion and disease spreading mass hysteria. Don't forget that there is also an effort by the White House and Congress to legitimate drag queens/transgenders in the military, too. TVC says that "the normalization of these behaviors are in many bills being pushed through Congress." Rachel Crandall admits it - she is a Facebook addict. But sometimes, like when starting up the first ever International Transgender Day of Visibility, that's a great thing to be.

"I went on Facebook and I was thinking...whenever I hear about our community, it seems to be from Remembrance Day which is always so negative because it's about people who were killed," Crandall, who heads up Transgender Michigan, recalled. "So one night I couldn't sleep and I decided why don't I try to do something about that.

"I thought, 'why doesn't someone do it?' Then I thought, 'why isn't that someone me?'"

(Frankfort, Kentucky) Kentucky lawmakers have ended their session without bringing to a vote a bill that would ban unmarried couples from adopting or fostering children, but supporters of the measure say they will reintroduce it in the next session.

Sen. Gary Tapp (R) said he will not let the issue rest, declaring that the legislation is in the best interest of children.

The measure said that anyone “cohabitating with a sexual partner outside of marriage” cannot be considered as a foster or adoptive parent.

If you have a phobia, you probably realize that your fear is unreasonable, yet you still can’t control your feelings. Just thinking about the thing you fear may make you anxious. And when you’re actually exposed to your phobia, the terror is automatic and overwhelming.

If you haven't heard, April 15th is National Kiss Day. It's a clever, peaceful event because as the website says: "LGBT couples have yet to be granted the same rights to file our taxes jointly on a Federal level, and we can still be fired for being openly gay in the workplace. That's why you're encouraged to be seen on Tax Day, April 15, 2009, spreading your love with a KISS! Don't have someone to kiss? Go to our Facebook page, click on "Confirmed attendees" and find someone cute in your town."

While Starbucks is doing what it can for America's nutrition with its new Vivanno drink, and at the same time working for the environment by introducing cups that reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions, it is unfortunately about to become a site for major cultural pollution.

Same-Sex Kiss Day is being held on April 15th, 2009, as a way for the homosexual community to spread its message of equality nationwide.
Parents might want to take a pass on their lattes and keep their children from unabashed displays of sexuality in their local Starbucks on this day.

But why Starbucks? Well, the popular coffee chain is not an unexpected ally in this effort. Frankly, participants in the event could not find a better haven for their event. Though not officially hosting the event, it is no secret that Starbucks is one of the most "gay-friendly" corporations in America. Starbucks has long been recognized as such.

Starbucks has been committed to LGBT rights since the beginning of time offering domestic partnership insurance, quoting gay artists on their coffee cups and funding our pride parades.

It is not enough that film and television work to mainstream the homosexual lifestyle, activists make it a point to push their agenda in the public square in the name of curing homophobia. **

They say they don't want anyone to infringe on their rights, but they don't seem to mind infringing on parents' right to choose when and if their children will be exposed to the realities of an unhealthy and immoral lifestyle.

Oh Miss Bardsley, please wake up and smell the coffee--there's really nothing good or realistic about your organization. You and people like you who are willfully ignorant and homophobic will remain so unless someone takes a stand(although unfortunate, it's likely some people will choose to remain "as is.") But bless those who take a stand or reform their willful ignorance and homophobia.

One more thing, wikipedia says "a number of terms with the suffix -phobia are primarily understood as negative attitudes towards certain categories of people or other things, used in an analogy with the medical usage of the term. Usually these kinds of "phobias" are described as fear, dislike, disapproval, prejudice, hatred, discrimination, or hostility towards the object of the "phobia". Often this attitude is based on prejudices and is a particular case of general xenophobia."

Hollow advocacy for marriage, 2 counts of conspiracy, and charges of overbilling- another CROOKED Republican gets caught

Former State Sen. Jeff Miller (R-Cleveland), the man who sponsored the constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, has been arrested by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for overbilling Bradley County as their delinquent tax attorney.

In 2005 the so-called Marriage Protection Amendment passed on third reading by a vote of 29-3 in the Senate. The amendment went to the voters in 2006 and passed. Miller was also the sponsor of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act that codified the definition of marriage as a relationship between one man and one woman. Subsequently, marriage equality has been illegal since that law passed.

Miller’s advocacy for the sanctity of marriage rang hollow at a time when his wife of 15 years sued him for divorce, citing behavior that suggested Miller was guilty of extramarital philandering.

A press release from the TBI says that Miller, 46, was indicted on one count of Official Misconduct, one count of Conspiracy to Commit Official Misconduct and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Perjury. (Source, Out & About Tennessee)

The Center For AIDS Prevention makes more news

After publishing our inquiry into a shady AIDS charity, we asked the New York Times, whose Web site has been running prominent ads for the group, whether they’d drop the ad. Their answer? No.

"Should there be allegations of fraud against an advertiser, we would discontinue advertising, until the matter is resolved. At this time, we have no indication of that," wrote Steph Jespersen, the Times director of advertising acceptability, in an e-mail forwarded by a spokeswoman.

The Times advertising guidelines prohibit "fraudulent, deceitful and misleading statements."

The Center for AIDS Prevention’s advertisement solicits donations for the charity and offers readers the chance to "Help Stop AIDS."

But the center has spread factually inaccurate, and potentially dangerous, health information through its Web site. The organization was also completely dormant for more than 20 years of its 22-year history, and it is unclear what, if any, charitable activities it’s been involved in since reopening in 2007. Moreover, the center’s proprietor is connected to a now-defunct herbal remedy company that offered an ineffective AIDS treatment, and its paper trail is filled with suspicious gaps. Testing one two three... The Melbourne Catholic Church to test potential priests for "the gay"

The Melbourne Catholic Church has embraced a Vatican recommendation to test potential priests for sexual orientation.

The head of the Vatican committee that made the recommendations has made it clear celibate gays should also be banned because homosexuality is ‘‘a type of deviation’’.

Archdiocese of Melbourne spokesman James O’Farrell confirmed Carlton’s Corpus Christi Catholic seminary had started adhering to the guidelines, but refused to comment further. (Source)

I posted about it this morning and have just found out that Exodus International Executive Vice President Randy Thomas has publicly denied Exodus' involvement in the witch hunts that are taking place.
Randy Thomas submitted two comments denying the ex-gay groups involvement on joe.my.god.com's thread Uganda's Gay Witchhunt Continues With The Help Of U.S. "Ex-Gay" Group Exodus.
I read about this development first however, on NGblog who posts the comment sections in his blog, urging his viewers to see for themselves that twice Randy Thomas lies publicly about Exodus' involvement in this atrocious anti-gay witch hunt.

Why lie? Does the power of Christ compel these Christians to lie in order to try and save their scam of therapy?

Randy says in a March 13th post,

We are dealing with complex issues. I can understand why people would want to hear from Exodus about one of our board Members being at that conference. That said, we walk a line in what is appropriate for us to speak to and not speaking on behalf of the Board Member who was actually involved. We have to know that what we are hearing is factually correct and not provide knee jerk reactions.

Randy attempts to clarify his point but actually recapitulates in this March 17th post,

I know that anyone who values freedom and self-determination would do their very best, even sacrificially, to try and help our friends who struggle with same sex attractions in Uganda. Strategically I think that conservative post-gay Christians would have more of a shot at creating true freedom and tolerance in Uganda.

Especially since Don Schmierer, Randy Thomas, and Alan Chambers are all "sustained" by the revenues Exodus International take in when offering their "biblical view of homosexuality" and "convey the truth" at a conference for people struggling with "SSA," homosexuality and friends and family of ex-gays.

Gay Marriage Reconsidered- NH House passes Gay Marriage

After two days of debating, the New Hampshire House voted for gay marriage 186 to 179 after first voting against it, 183 to 182.

The first vote against equal marriage was so close that a representative asked for it to be reconsidered. After a few minutes of intense personal lobbying on the floor, it passed.

The debate was ferocious, with Rep. Terie Norelli pleading with the anti-marriage contingent that it was against his religion to NOT solemnize gay marriage. “The state of New Hampshire should not have the right to impose your religious beliefs on my family and my church,” he said.

Other pro-equal marriage representatives made arguments that “separate is never equal,” and that gay marriage would entice the best workers and businesses to come to the state.

Anti-gay representatives made the argument, unsupported by research, that gay people are pedophiles and gay parents are harmful to children and that gay marriage would open the door to polygamy. (Source)

EIGHT more men yesterday confessed involvement in homosexuality and gay activities, which they said they had abandoned. Speaking to journalists at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala, the youthful men described homosexuality as abnormal and anti-Christian, and declared war against it.

The tough-talking men were accompanied by George Oundo, (pictured) who earlier in the week denounced homosexuality and confessed recruiting school children into the practice.

“We have been involved in recruiting homosexuals, spreading the gospel of homosexuality, and we know the operations of homosexuals,” said 27-year-old Emma Matovu, who took to homosexuality 13 years ago. “We shall do all it takes to eliminate the practice in Uganda.”

Matovu, who said he abandoned the practice two weeks ago, asserted: “Homosexuality is dangerous and dehumanising but is growing fast in Uganda.”

I got a comment last night to this entry, and I would like to blog my response, as I feel it is too large for a comment box. Readers, please note: I am not angry with Raycol but I feel my point was a bit misunderstood.

Raycol comments: "While I support the overall tenor of your blog, I don’t think you have given the correct meaning of “toevah” in Leviticus 18. As well as the word being used to comment on sex between men in verse 22, it is again used in verses 26, 29 and 30, where it refers to all the prohibited actions in the chapter, including the incest prohibitions in verses 6 to 17. This would rule out your interpretation that “toevah” in verse 22 means only “something ritually unclean for Jews” or “those Jewish sins which involve ethnic contamination or idolatry”. While I appreciate your criticism of my interpretation and usage of the meaning of “toevah,” in all fairness to me, your comment ignores the nature of my response to the anonymous commenter and actually reinforces my point. I wanted first to address his remark concisely.
If you recall, his comment to me was "The Bible does indeed say that homosexuality is a sin against God."
And my response to him was, “No, The Bible says, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Leviticus 20:13 is giving the penalties for the Leviticus 18:22 "abomination" or in the Hebrew "toevah." Unlike what the English translation implies, toevah did not usually signify something intrinsically evil, but something ritually unclean for Jews. Eating pork, shellfish, lobster, eating meat 3 days old, trimming beards, etc. is just as much an "abomination."

I reiterate, I merely answered his contention that “The Bible says homosexuality is a sin against God” with the fact that some people have been using an ENGLISH translation of a HEBREW word (toevah) to make assumptions about God’s feelings about homosexuality. The Bible never once (until modern translations) used the word "homosexuality." As anyone can see in my comparison, pork, shellfish and beard trimming are equally abominable. BUT, no one really finds those things evil today. It was not my intention to detail all the examples the term “toevah” encompasses. I satisfied my argument with one of several routes- that being, it's meaning lies in one argument that it is “ritually unclean to Jews.”

Therefore, my interpretation is not “ruled out,” when in fact, I never implied toevah means only one thing, I only used one aspect of it's meaning to express my point. Check out a page of the link Raycol provided, notice its defense of “no proscriptions against homosexuals” has been labeled cultural saying this.
Isn’t that essentially what I said? Something The Bible declares is “toevah” in Hebrew, or presumed in modern English to mean abominable, detestable or ritually unclean to ancient Jews therefore, should be considered religiously inspired anti-gay bigotry. That the word has been re-translated, mistranslated and it's one form having "ritual context" is indeed cultural; furthermore implies an archaic application to modern homosexuals, is again cultural, right?

Any way it's dissected, I stand by my response.

Duncan made the pledge during a meeting with representatives of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and a delegation of students and teachers.

It is the first time that a Secretary of Education has met with LGBT advocates. The Bush administration rejected calls to meet.

Well intentioned CHRISTIANS seem to have a knack for lying, why is that? Well, last night, some one named Anonymous left a new comment on my old post "That pesky, anti-Judeo-Christian, homo-loving, chi...":

The Bible does indeed say that homosexuality is a sin against God but does say that he can indeed forgive this violation of a man having sexual intercourse with another man.

Leviticus 20:13 is giving the penalties for the Leviticus 18:22 "abomination" or in the Hebrew "toevah." Unlike what the English translation implies, toevah did not usually signify something intrinsically evil, but something ritually unclean for Jews. Eating pork, shellfish, lobster, eating meat 3 days old, trimming beards, etc is just as much an "abomination." It is used throughout the OT to designate those Jewish sins which involve ethnic contamination or idolatry. In many other OT verses it simply means idolatry. Leviticus 18 is specifically designed to distinguish the Jews from the pagans among whom they had been living. The prohibition of supposedly homosexual acts follows after the prohibition of idolatrous sexuality of worshipping Molech, whose cult included male cult prostitutes and bestiality.

How ever having researched this life style it has been aptly proven that over 98.7 percent of those man living in the gay life style have been sexually molested as children. This indeed is a much greater violation than the sexual act of homo-sexualality it self. I have seen God expose heal and restore mens lifes who have been revaged by this act of child molestation. The sad part is that when such cruel acts take place against a little boy their mind surpresses it often for a long period of time in which the violated have absolutely no memory recall what so ever.

Where is your research? I am gay, know many gay people, I was not molested and none of the gay people I know were ever molested, nor do they believe that molestation makes one homosexual. In research with 942 nonclinical adult participants, gay men and lesbian women reported a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than did heterosexual men and women. Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation. Twenty-two percent of lesbian women in contrast to 1% of heterosexual women reported homosexual molestation. This research is apparently the first survey that has reported substantial homosexual molestation of girls. Suggestions for future research were offered. And another thing, [t]he mass media and the Web are filled with claims these days from religious conservatives, orthodox psychoanalysts, anti-gay organizations, and even a professional football player claiming that people with a homosexual orientation not only can become heterosexual, but also should do so.

However, claims by the Family Research Council, Charles Socarides, Joseph Nicolosi, and others of "successful" conversions through reparative therapy are filled with methodological ambiguities and questionable results (for reviews, see Haldeman, 1991, 1994; see also Haldeman's 1999 review paper is available on the web in HTML and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format ). In many of these behavior-change techniques, "success" has been defined as suppression of homoerotic response or mere display of physiological ability to engage in heterosexual intercourse. God did not condemn Adam and Eve, God, (according to The Bible,) factually "cursed the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” And, “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” Source
FYI: your "paragraph" seems to be nothing more than a contradiction of the nature of God, confusion about human nature and all based on bad sermons you heard in a misguided church that preaches lies.

(Charleston, West Virginia) A conservative Christian group opposing an LGBT equality bill and pressing for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage has been accused of trying to intimidate two West Virginia lawmakers.

House Judiciary Chairwoman Carrie Webster and Delegate Barbara Fleischauer say they are on the receiving end of a telemarketing campaign by the Family Policy Council of West Virginia.

(MONTPELIER) Vermont – A Vermont Senate committee has unamimously approved a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage in the state.

The senate Judiciary Committee voted 5-0 on Friday to advance the measure that was the topic of an emotional public hearing on Wednesday that drew hundreds to the Statehouse.
The full Senate is expected to take up the bill next week.

Gov. Jim Douglas has said he opposes the measure, but has not indicated whether he would veto it. If approved, Vermont would join Massachusetts and Connecticut as the only U.S. states that allow gay marriage. (Source)

(MEXICO) -A small Mexican political party has made an unusual choice in tapping an openly gay candidate to run for mayor of the conservative city of Guadalajara.

The Social Democratic Party is nominating 31-year-old helicopter pilot Miguel Antonio Galan for the July 5 election.

NEW YORK, March 17, 2009 - Transgender youth face extremely high levels of victimization in school, even more so than their non-transgender lesbian, gay and bisexual peers. But they are also more likely to speak out about LGBT issues in the classroom, according to Harsh Realities: The Experiences of Transgender Youth in Our Nation's Schools, the first comprehensive study on transgender students, released today by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network.

The high rate of victimization had a direct impact on school attendance and academic performance. Transgender students who experienced high levels of harassment were more likely to miss school because they felt unsafe and had lower grade point averages than those who experienced lower levels of harassment.
